A Robo chef, Cooki cooks food for you

Cooking art is lost now a days with all the fast food out there. Everyone is busy in their lives and no one has time to cook, they just want ready to eat meal without doing any hard work.

Sereneti Kitchen has introduced Cooki, a robo chef that cooks food the way your family would. At present its prototype made of aluminum is on display at Consumers Electric Show.

Serenti Kitchen's Robo "Cooki"

You’re probably thinking how this robotic chef works. Basically, you just need to open the company's android application from your smartphone and have to select a recipe. Once you have done that, you will get out the ingredients.

Load the food trays into the side of Cooki and then just tapping on your smartphone device, sets the wheels in motion. A little robotic arm suspended above the cooking pot and heating surface does the stirring and cooking, just like a human arm would.

Each ingredient is added automatically to the pot at the right time and temperature. When Cooki is done with its cooking, a message pops up on your device: ‘Food is ready.’ The robotic arm and the pot are detachable and washable. They claims that their meals are priced at about $4-$5 per meal, almost same price as a frozen meal.

This robotic chef will be available at $99 with a special subscription of $49 per month for 10 economy meals per month over a period of three years. Haidee and Helen, founders of Sereneti Kitchen said “If almost everything in our lives happens with the push of a button, why can’t we push a button to cook?”

If all goes well, team will deliver the first unit in December, 2015 and its commercial launch will be in 2016.
