Sony to launch 5.2-inch smartphone with 2 GB Ram and Android 5.0

Sony might be mulling an exit-strategy for the smartphone market, but that hasn’t stopped the company from working on new products. An upcoming smartphone from the company has appeared in the database of benchmarking app Compubench.

Carrying model number E2333, the smartphone will feature Android 5.0 Lollipop, 5.2-inch 720p HD display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and NFC. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 610 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and pack 13MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter. Sony will also include the usual set of connectivity options.

There is no word on other specifications of the phone, but we hope to hear more from the company at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2015 in March.

Sony E2303

Sony also seems to be working on a variant of E2333 with model number E2303, which will be powered by Snapdragon 615 and include 8GB of internal storage. Other specifications of the phone will be the same as E2333.
